In Honor of our Group Blog, we are having a FREE Giveaway. This is the start of a monthly drawing the group will sponsor. The last day to signup for this drawing is Saturday, March 7th. All you have to do is leave a comment and you're entered!

Pfatt Teachers at the ZNE ConvenZioNE........

We're so very proud to announce that 2 of our PFATT members, Christy Meyers of Ccswhimsies and Iva Wilcox of Iva's Creations, will be teaching classes this April 29-May 3 in Pleasanton, CA at the ZNE ConvenZioNE.

Listed below are the two classes that will be taught by Christy Meyers.....

The Rabbit

Students who take this class will be will create whimsical fabric dolls, using pre-sewn patterns culled from Christy's own imagination. Students will learn techniques in sewing, painting, and embellishments.

Sculpted Faces



Students who take this class will be able to keep all their dreams written and safe within this dream box. Each student will sculpt, paint, and decorate their own special dream box.

Students will learn sculpting human faces using paper clay. Students will gain confidence in painting human faces.

During the April 29 – May 3, 2009, ZNE Convenzione art event, PFATT artist Iva Wilcox will be teaching two all-day classes, “A Woodland Fairy Boudoir Lamp,” and a “Marie Antoinette Boudoir Lamp.” Students will work with rich papers, fabrics and trims to create fantasy worlds inside a low-voltage lamp base. You will learn to light up every detail of the woodland or Queen of France scene, in addition to learning basic techniques of how to turn ordinary objects into an imaginary world of splendor. Our PFATT Fest visit to Wendy Addison's Theatre of Dreams.....

One of the best things that the PFATTies have ever done was decide to have what we call PFATT Fest. We pick a place and time and anyone who is a member of our group and is willing and able can attend. The first one was in October of 2005 and was held in Berlin, Ohio......the heart of Amish Country. In October of 2006 Pfatt Fest #2 was held in Dellroy, OH at Atwood State Park and we had a booth at the Atwood Fall Festival. This past April was PFATT Fest #3 which was held in beautiful sunny Lafayette, CA.

During out 2008 PFATT Fest, we had a most magical visit to Wendy Addison's Theatre of Dreams, located in the tiny little village of Port Costa, California. It was THE highlight of our trip getting to see her studio and meet Wendy in person. She is such a sweet, caring and kind lady and she was so willing to share with us all. We all came away with memories that we will carry with us in our hearts and never forget.
